What's a Communication Passport?
Its a concise information booklet that quickly lets people around you know how you like to talk, what makes you happy, or what you need, even if you couldn't always say it. That's what a Communication Passport does!
It's a simple, personal tool that goes with someone who finds it hard to communicate. It quickly tells others important things like:
How they communicate (like pointing, sounds, using a special device)
What they like and don't like
Who their important people are
Any important health or care needs
Why is it so helpful? It makes sure people understand them everywhere they go (like at school, the doctor's, or with new support persons). It stops frustration, helps everyone connect better, and lets the person's voice be heard, even without words.
