I’m not a parent-yet. The ‘yet’ symbolises my thought process that someday- I’d like to be…a parent. And this time that I have now, is the build up to THAT day.
I don’t think most of us actively think about parenting. At least I didn’t. Not up until its staring me right in the face. Like someone who has made eye-contact with you from across the floor and there is a glass wall with a “PUSH” (not pull!) door separating you.
That “PUSH-PUSH-PUSH”- every English childbirth movie scene’s penchant dialogue. And *Parenting* is waiting across that glass door, having locked eyes with you, ready to start with a ‘push’.
Whose voice do you hear in your head?
When times are hard
When you are in distress
Whose voice do you hear in your head?
Your inner strength
Your powerful force
Your gentle ground
Your resting block
When you close your eyes for a breath
When you search for a friend
Whose voice do you hear in your head?
